TMSA Perthshire Songwriters Workshop with Jim Malcolm

There is a special opportunity for anyone interested in songs and songwriting to attend a workshop led by one of Scotlandís leading songwriters, Jim Malcolm. Jim, a local man from Perth, has written many songs which have become part of the Scottish folk tradition such as Lochanside, Battle of Waterloo, and Lochs of the Tay. He is also a renowned interpreter of traditional songs with many recordings to his name. Jim has performed both solo and with bands such as Old Blind Dogs. At the workshop Jim will be talking about and demonstrating his approach to songwriting and those attending will all have an opportunity to discuss songwriting in general. The workshop will be held on FRIDAY 13 October, commencing at 7.30 p.m. The venue will be the Fire Station, 401 High Street, Long Causeway, Perth PH1 1PL. There will be a small entry charge of £5.
